Zune HD is on fire sale once again! Get 16GB Zune Get 32GB Zune Get 64GB Zune

Zune HD Price

Hey everyone…It looks like the Zune HD price has dropped again! The fire sale is available once again through Amazon…

The Zune HD 16GB MP3 Player is on sale for $155 (14% OFF)!

The Zune HD 32GB MP3 Player is on sale for $216 (21% OFF)!

The Zune HD 64GB MP3 Player is on sale for $258 (26% OFF)!

(UPDATE: August 12, 2009) – The Zune HD has officially been priced by Microsoft…

The 16GB Zune HD will sell for $220, compare that to the 16GB iPod Touch which sells for $290…$70 bucks cheaper!

The 32GB Zune HD will sell for $290, compare that to the 32GB iPod Touch which sells for $370…$80 bucks cheaper!

Amazon keeps teasing us…they put up pre-orders for both the 16GB and 32GB versions and then quickly took it back down. I grabbed a screenshot before they removed it from their listings.

You can see the “modified” Zune HD listing page here. Unfortunately you will not be able to find a “Pre-Order” link anywhere.

With the September 8 Release Date approaching, I would assume that the Pre-Order page will be back up in a few days.

(DATE: JULY 1, 2009) – A Microsoft employee has said (“rumored”) that the 16GB Zune HD will retail between $219.99 and $239.99. The $249 price point is obviously much more attractive and should help Zune HD sales come this Fall.

With the 16GB Zune HD priced at $249…you can expect to see the 32GB model priced at around $300. There are also rumors floating around about a 64GB Zune HD. The 64GB Zune HD would likely be priced between $349 and $400. I just don’t see mp3 players selling above that $400 mark.

It’s possible that the Zune HD will have an App to download games directly from Xbox Live. We’ll have to wait and see.

Is there gonna be a 120 gb hd zune?
and if yes will it still be in that price range?

  4. Anonymous July 15, 2009 at 8:15 PM #

I highly doubt there will be a 120gb Zune HD. If the 32gb is over $300 120gb would be over $500 or more. No one will buy. Maybe in a couple of year when manufacturing cost go down.

Well I think the 16GB should be $200-$230, 32GB should be $250 and $64 GB should be $300 Than they should have an 80 or 120 for about $350-$450.
80-$350 or 120-$400. They need a 64 32 is not enough for some people. and now since you can buy movies and TV shows from live marketplace you need more GB. 16 is too less and 64 or 80 is about the right amount. 120 is too much unless you are a huge music fan.

I hope the rumor prices on not right and it just to throw people off. They don’t want to tell the price yet more likely a week before it comes out. They want people to buy it.

  7. Anonymous July 21, 2009 at 6:57 AM #

The price should be low because of whats going on with the jobs today. No ome will buy uit if its more than $375. It shouldn’t be more than a videogame system.

Prices really need to start at $199 for the 16 GB for this to be a bigger success than the original Zune. With the 16GB iPod touch currently at $299 ($275 from Amazon), there’s a chance it may drop to around $250 when the iPod lineup is updated this fall (especially if they drop the 8GB touch, which could happen seeing as they did not put out an 8GB version of the new iPhone). The iPod touch already has a huge amount of momentum, and the Zune HD is going to need a significant price advantage for the general public to take notice. Plus, even if Apple does retain the 8GB iPod touch, many Americans only care about the lowest price. Uninformed buyers (Which means a large portion of consumers) will buy the 8GB touch at $229 rather than a 16GB Zune HD at $249 just because the name is more familiar and the price is slightly lower.

I agree with above. The 16GB Zune HD should be $199.

All you people speculating about price need to realize MS doesn’t make any money on the device. They can just hope to break even. You can’t just say, oh they should sell it for $199. These things probably cost more than that to make. Their profits will come from selling content, just like with the xbox.

I want this so bad…y’all have no idea.
I’m going to get a job just to buy this. Just wait. I’ll own Microsoft one day.

im guessing its going to be about $249. Thats the price that i bought my zune original for when it first came out.

just got my e-mail telling me to pre-order the hd zune but only one of the retailers (Best Buy) even make mention of it and none let you pre-order… NOT even the MS Store. Microsoft needs to coordinate with retailers (even themselves) better.

You people are retarded! the ipod 16 is no longer on the market check the apple website if you don’t belive me. $280 for a Zune HD 32 undercuts the new $299 ipod 32 price by almost $20 check the facts

    Hey Everybody,

I’ve been playing with the ZuneHD for a little while now and I’ve been keeping close tabs on all the back and forth “ZHD v Touch” banter and I’ve come to a conclusion.

The Zune HD has better sound quality and for me thats what matters the most. My testing has been far from scientific and is based only on comparing my ZuneHD to my iPod classic using the same song with the same bitrate. The Zune has a richer and more well rounded sound, where as the iPod has a tinny sound by comparison. Thats with the equalizer on both off.

I’ve got a review over at http://www.techsterHQ.com if you’re interested. I’m not a hater or a fanboi, I just look at the tech from the perspective of function so perhaps this info will help you if you’re thinking about one or the other.

Does anyone realize that the Walmart price for both the 16gb and 32gb are less that Amazon! Walmart’s 16gb Zune HD is $169; the 32gb is $234. Not a huge difference, but when you’re counting pennies and changing technology every few months, it helps. Personally, I still have the 120b Zune. I purchased the 32gb, but took it back. Although I absolutely loved it, I had to go through too many steps to pause a song at a particular spot. With the 120gb, I can push one button and it stops. Since I’m learning bass guitar, this is important to be able to stop on a dime to hear a bass riff. Until I can do that on the HD Zune, I can’t use it.

To those of you who are comparing Ipod Touch to Zune HD, it’s an apples to oranges scenario. Zune is more for music: Better sound, radio, video, etc. If you’re into Zune, you probably aren’t into Apps! I could never get folks who make that comparison. I have both products in my household; my teenage granddaughter very seldom uses her Ipod Touch to listen to music. I, on the other hand, have more than 2000 songs on my Zune 120gb, and between using the radio and listening to music, that’s all I use it for. That’s the FUNCTION of an mp3 player — not to play with apps. If I want to play with apps, I can use one of my Androids!
